After three years of having obtained your Permanent Residency Visa and if you have not left the country for a period of 180 days per year during those three years, you can apply for Ecuadorian citizenship.

 
There are two ways to apply for Ecuadorian citizenship, the first one is through marriage to an Ecuadorian citizen, the second one through a naturalization letter.
